Abigail works with discarded wood she finds on her wanderings; from parks, forests and coastlines at home and overseas, each piece destined to become something utterly unique. She works with the wood to find it’s destined animal in the naturally formed shapes and markings, stripping away bark, hand-carving, sawing, sanding, drilling, assembling and painting to create wooden creatures full of mystery and magic, and a spirit of the trees they once were.
