Carved wooden Cow, created by Abigail from found wood she has carefully gathered, carved, assembled and painted.

Part of an ongoing collection of carved wooden animal figures, benevolent sprit guides, bringing strength and insight to those in need, embodying a belief in Animism, and serving as a reminder of the importance of our relationship and connection with the natural world.

“Each piece of wood I find has such individual qualities and details that already feel they have a destined purpose, an animal they are showing certain characteristics of and should be carved into fully becoming.”

Abigail works mostly with a small carving knife but also hand saws, chisels, a belt sander and a dremel tool to create each piece, adding the final detail in spray paint to bring each piece to life.

Holi Cow is adorned with a little metal bell, found in Kyoto.

Created for display only, it is a fragile piece to be handled with care. It is not a toy.
Comes with a tiny hook on the back of it’s neck for wall display.
