Coati goblet - from a collection of little ritual vessels inspired into being following a trip to Costa Rica in 2023, and a visit to view the remarkable collection of pre-columbian artefacts at the Museo Del Jade in San José.

This little vessel collection was created whilst considering the body and mind as vessels that carry the emotions and experiences of ourselves and of others. Emotions, tears, whispers, wishes, secrets, ashes… placed into the vessel so the animals can help us carry their weight.

The design features three little Coati heads as ‘feet’ for the body of the vessel.

Hand-built by Abigail in flecked stoneware, glazed.
